Date(s) - 13/01/2015
Time(s) - 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
This event is organised by the meSch partner Allard Pierson Museum and is part of the Digital Museum Network Amsterdam Meetup Series.
We all have different tastes when it comes to the museum experiences we like. So how does an exhibition designer offer a “menu” of experiences that offers something for everyone?
To answer this question, we need to understand how the different courses of a museum “meal” come together to create a holistic visitor experience. During this session, the research group Crossmedia (University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam) aims to give participants a better insight into the relationship between an exhibition’s design and the experience it generates with visitors. To address this, the group developed the E-scape game, where museum professionals are offered – by playing the game – a reflective insight into how their design relates to the experience they want the visitor to have. During the session, participants will be given the opportunity to play and reflect upon the game.
