Digital Strategies for Heritage 2013 (DISH2013)
About the conference
Digital Strategies for Heritage (DISH) is the bi-annual international conference in the Netherlands on digital heritage and strategies for heritage institutions. Triggered by changes in society, heritage organisations face many challenges and need to make strategic decisions about their activities and services. The key aims of the conference are inspiration, knowledge, skills, innovation and networking.
DISH2013 follows the Europeana Network Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is a key event for Europeana and its network. It provides all partners with the opportunity to share, discuss and develop specific areas of mutual relevance and interest.
meSch at DISH2013
The program of DISH consists of small interactive sessions interspersed with inspiring keynote talks. Wim Hupperetz, Director of the Allard Pierson Museum, will lead an interactive session called ´The digital heritage paradox: 3D reconstructions tool or token?´. He is involved in both the meSch project as well as in the EU-funded project v-must, both of which aim at providing heritage professionals technological tools for the creation of, respectively, smart exhibits and virtual museums. His talk is inspired by these projects. Read more about his session on: http://dish2013.nl/sessions/3d-for-museums-session-22-table-12
