Workshop Exploring End-User Programming of Interactive Spaces
In this playground studio participants will have the opportunity to mash-up different kinds of wireless devices to interactive setups or smart environments using the meSchup toolkit. Within just a couple of minutes and through a single web based development interface participants will have connected various sensors and actuators of Arduinos, Raspberry Pis, Intel Edisons and even their own Android devices. After a short introduction of the meSchup toolkit multiple examples of interactive installations that are based on meSchup will be shown to illustrate its potential. Small and advanced group- and single person tasks will be prepared by the organizer to get participants started immediatelly. No experience in programming is required for this studio, but can be however beneficiary.
The workshop will be given by Thomas Kubitza from the University of Stuttgart and will be held in English language.
