Looking for volunteers in Italy!
On October 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 meSch researchers from Sheffield Hallam University will be at the Museo della Guerra in Rovereto to conduct a visitor survey. We are looking for people who would like to participate in the survey and get free entrance to the Museum and a small present!
The Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra in Rovereto, Trento, is dedicated to the First World War and does not only host a vast collection of artefacts, but also covers a vast outside area witch caves and war trenches in the Alps. Not only is it definitely worth a visit, it is also partner in meSch and as such will start implementing meSch technology in its exhibitions.
In the section of the Museum that is dedicated to the artillery of the First World War an installation with meSch technology, embedded within multimedia devices, will be placed. The exhibition will show how the fort Pozzacchio, a great stronghold built by Austro-Hungarians on the eve of the Great War, has influenced the life of inhabitants of the Vallarsa valley over about a century. The focus of the exhibition is to tell stories of their lives using meSch technology in order to increase the awareness of the importance of cultural heritage of small communities.
You can get an impression of the new installation in the short video below:
We will use the results of this visitor evaluation to further enhance this technology in future exhibitions.
To participate in the survey and get free Museum entrance plus a small gift, please e-mail to annapisetti@museodellaguerra.it and include the day(s) between October 20th to 24th and time(s) you are available on the chosen days.
We are looking forward to hearing from you and hope to welcome you in Trento!
