eCTRL Solutions (ECTRL) is a spin off company of Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), a research center of the Autonomous Province of Trento in Italy. eCTRL has been founded to further develop and market the research results of the center in the fields of recommender systems for e-commerce and tourism.
Role in the project: Architectural definition, infrastructure implementation and integration tasks WP5; WP4 workpackage in the definition and implementation of the personalization technologies and recommendation algorithms of the platform. Contribute to the design and implementation of the interface for online visitors’ access to cultural content, as well as to exploit the onsite interaction logs (WP3) in the personalization algorithms. Support the case study in Italy (WP6); contribute on the evaluation tasks (WP7), on the multi- sensor digital systems platform (WP2), to the dissemination of the project results, and to the definition the exploitation strategy (WP8).
- Adriano Venturini is manager and co-founder of eCTRL Solutions. He leads the design and development of software projects focusing on implementing advanced portals and integrating recommendation and personalization technologies.
- Dario Cavada, development manager and co-founder of the company, has more than 15 year experience in the design and development of software solutions, in particular in the implementation of leading innovative portals for tourist destinations and in the development of web 2.AJAX based user interface interactions (among them the tourism portal of Trentino and the tourism portal of Finland).
- Stefano Maule is a project manager for eCTRL, dealing with a wide variety of technologies and fast skill development in order to meet customer demands. Moreover, he is the eCTRL account manager and he supports the B2B and B2C digital needs of the customers. Stefano has 12 years of experience in running a gamut of Information Technologies such as Hardware, Software and web development. Throughout his career, he worked for the government, consulting, economy and tourism sector and developed a great aptitude in problem solving.
